The Committee

The Court of Governors is responsible for convening the Annual Meeting of Life Guardians. At this meeting, the Life Guardians appoint a Committee of up to 12 members - which meets 4 or 5 times a year to perform the following duties:

- Assisting the Court to identify suitable candidates for election as Governors to the Court.

- Providing Trustees to the McClure Memorial Trust and approving payments to the Trust. 

- Encourage Old Millhillians to become Life Guardians

- Maintain active channels of communication with the Court, the Old Millhillians Club, the CEO & the Director of the Foundation Appeal

- Reporting periodically to Life Guardians on relevant matters


Julian Pollock,

BIO: Belmont 1983-88, Mill Hill 1983-88 (music and academic scholar). Captain of 1st XV and 1988 World Rugby Tour. Hatfield College Durham University 1989-92. OMRFC 1986-2004 (played for every team from the Colts to the OOMs). Director of Clubland Investments. Commercial real estate partner at Herbert Smith Freehills. Married with 2 children including a son at Belmont. 


Ian Lowden,
Deputy Chair

Responsibilities: Governor Recruitment/ Skills Audit, Website

BIO: Mill Hill 1972-77. Married, 2 children. After completing Business Studies degree worked in various sales & marketing roles for Rank Xerox & other pan-european companies. Among other business interests, am Managing Director of Ernest Thomas (Hendon) Ltd & Director of ADP Supplies Ltd.


Anthony Ward,

Responsibilities: Treasurer, Membership administration

BIO: Mill Hill 1982-87. Read law at Oxford. Chartered Accountant. Managing Director Grunwick Group 1994 - 2011. Commercial Property Landlord. Former Captain OMGS. Married with three children who all attended the Mill Hill School Foundation

BIO: Mill Hill, Weymouth House 2010-2012. Mathematics and Economics University of Essex 2012-2015 (2.1 Honours).
Six years experience in Asset Management; current role: Junior FI Portfolio Manager at Legal and General Investment Management. YOMS Ambassador.


Myles Jacobson

Responsibilities: Fundraising

BIO: Belmont 1981-1986 and Mill Hill 1986-1991. Played rugby for OMRFC in the 1990s. A licensed insolvency practitioner, Myles has over twenty-five years’ experience of restructuring and business recovery, advising businesses across a wide range of sectors including automotive, retail and construction.
Myles is an active member of R3, the trade association and representative body for the UK’s insolvency, restructuring and business advisory industry, and sits on the Smaller Practices Group and London & South East Region Committees. He also sits on the External Affairs and Member Services Committee of the Insolvency Practitioners Association, a licensing body for insolvency practitioners, as well as its Regulation and Conduct Committee. In his spare time Myles is a trustee of a charity and has been an avid supporter of Tottenham Hotspur for over forty years. 


Thomas Schilling

Responsibilities: Member Recruitment

BIO: Mill Hill School (2001-2006). After studying Mathematics at the University of Bristol he joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Corporate Finance Team and is now a member of the ICAEW. He currently works at the Investment Bank Jefferies, having previously worked at J.P. Morgan and Nomura. Thomas is married with children currently in the Mill Hill Foundation.

BIO: Mill Hill 1960 - 1964, OMRFC, OMCC. 50+ years in marketing and general management with blue chip multi-nationals and entrepreneurial ventures. Co-founder PrecisionIR Inc. President, OMC 2013/2014; Chair, OMC 2017- present; Director, Wise Analytics Ltd; Executive Advisor. Intellectual Digital Global LP; Trustee George Adamson Wildlife Preservation Trust. Married, 4 children and 7 grandchildren..
