The Court of Governors is responsible for convening the Annual Meeting of Life Guardians.
At this meeting the Life Guardians appoint a Committee of up to 12 members.
The Committee meets four to five times a year to perform the following duties

  • Assisting the Court to identify suitable candidates for election as Governors to the Court.
  • Providing Trustees to the McClure Memorial Trust and approving payments to the trust.

  • Encouraging Old Millhillians to become Life Guardians.
  • Maintaining active channels of communication with the Court, the Old Millhillians Club and the Director of the Foundation Appeal.
  • Reporting periodically to Life Guardians.

Julian Pollock

BIO: Belmont 1983-88, Mill Hill 1983-88 (music and academic scholar). Captain of 1st XV and 1988 World Rugby Tour. Hatfield College Durham University 1989-92. OMRFC 1986-2004 (played for every team from the Colts to the OOMs). Director of Clubland Investments. Commercial real estate partner at Herbert Smith Freehills. Married with 2 children including a son at Belmont.

Marc Eden

BIO: Marc has great affinity with the foundation, attending Belmont and Mill Hill from 1983 to 1992. He maintains regularly contact with Old Millhillians and regularly attends events.
Marc is now a board director of Regal Homes having spent 7 years with the company, responsible for investment and legal, which includes deploying capital for the company’s real estate developments, investor and joint venture relations and overseas the company’s legal processes and procurement.  Before Regal Homes, Marc began his post university career in business development raising finance for a number of technology companies. He re-trained in 2003, qualifying as a commercial property solicitor within the UK’s leading real estate practice at Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP. 

Ali Celiker

BIO: Belmont 1989-91, Mill Hill 1991-94. Was heavily involved in sports at 1st team level whilst at MHS and played Rugby for Middlesex County. Studied Economics and Econometrics at the University of Kent in Canterbury. Spent 12 years in capital markets sales and trading for companies such as JP Morgan, BNP Paribas, Mitsubishi and Paloma Securities before establishing his own company, British Pearl, in 2010 which is focused on the growing alternative finance market.

Ian Lowden

BIO: Mill Hill 1972-77.  Married, 2 children. After completing Business Studies degree worked in various sales & marketing roles for Rank Xerox & other pan-european companies. Among other business interests, am Managing Director of Ernest Thomas (Hendon) Ltd & Director of ADP Supplies Ltd.

Andrew Mortimer

BIO: Mill Hill 1956-61. OMRFC 1961-66. Wasps FC 1966-69. President OMC 2012/13. Current Chairman Old Millhillians Club. Chairman Club Land and Investment Trust. Married with 4 children (2 of them OMs). Retired after a long career in international banking.

Noyan Nihat

BIO: Belmont 1980-82, Mill Hill 1982-88, Head boy Collinson and Senior Boarding Monitor. Captain 1st XV OMRFC 2001/03, member of OMC Committee, Honorary Secretary of OMRFC. Trustee of McClure Trust. Divorced , 2 children ( one currently at Mill Hill). Over twenty years' experience in direct marketing, past Directorships in publishing, security and precious metals companies.  Currently CEO of Evolution DM Ltd.

Alan Toulson

Former Chairman, Swedish Chamber of Commerce, former Chairman of Governors, St. Clement Danes School, trustee George Adamson Wildlife Preservation Trust, member Independent Monitoring Board, The Mount Prison.

Peter Wakeham
